I'll be making a trip to my local scrap yards for plunder. I'm making a list of what to be on the lookout for while there. Obviously COWW and SOWW for sure but what else?

Pure lead, lead sheeting used in X-ray rooms and the like.

Old propane cylinder to make a smelting pot out of.

If you weld, you can always use some rebar to fashion a stand for the propane cylinder.

Maybe some soft lead, any type metal, and solder some to mind. Lightman

I love going to a scrap yard. but hate it at the same time. Love getting some money for scrap, but I always end up spending what I got plus more as I check out their bins. I'm a sucker for shiney stuff. Frank

The last time I went I brought a bucket of wheel weight clips with me and asked the fellow if he would dispose of them. We're not supposed to put them in the landfill. He gave me $4 for them! Cool beans.
