Red dots on air rifles?

I just bought 2 spring powered air rifles for me and my 2 boy to beat the winter blues away in the basement ,I know regular rifle scopes are not designed for the reversed recoil of a air rifle and bad things happen to them but will a red dot or one of those inexpensive holograph sights stand up to air rifle ?

I think all but the cheepest ones would work fine.
In fact most modern scopes of any quality at all can handle all but the strongest reverse recoil.
pyramidair.com has quite a few. Its a airgun sight.
