I like to cook (I guess because I like to eat) so today I get to make one of my favorites:

Spring greens salad, grilled rack of lamb (med. rare of course), grilled asparagus dressed with Greek olive oil & shaved parmesan Riggiano cheese, boiled fingerling potatoes & boiler onions with butter & rosemary, crusty French rolls, a nice pinot noir, and blueberry pie for desert.

It's gonna be hard to go to work tomorrow.

Happy Easter!

Probably a piece of jerky and a bag of chips while I work. Easter is just another Sunday at the pharmacy.
My wife will be at her parents having ham, potato salad, deviled eggs, and who knows what else.

Eating at one of my daughter's house today. Not sure what she's fixing, but my wife is bringing 7 layer salad and carrot cake w/cream cheese frosting (my favorite cake)

Hi...

My wife has to work today, so we will be grilling when she gets home around 5-6PM.

We went to the store yesterday and picked up ribeyes, portabella mushrooms and crab meat for crab cakes.

Our cafe' hangout has ham today, but last night was prime rib night and I brought one home to heat up for lunch. Gotta work tonight or I'd get up the energy to actually cook something.

I was on duty today. I had a grilled cheese sandwich in a diner, and I'm having leftover potato soup now that I'm home.

Man I feel bad for some of you. My mother made a honey glazed ham with cheesy taters, rolls, home grown canned sweet corn, & other goodies. Got to visit with my brother and niece who live 2000 miles away and cast 500 lee 155-312. Great day for me.

I cooked Angus Filet steaks, Sous Vide for 4 hours at 135F, then some salt and pepper, seared on smoking hot cast iron on each side for a minute to build a crust. Add a little more salt and a pat of butter to each. Served with roasted asparagus with salt, pepper and a dash of parm to finish, and macaroni and cheese using Dreamfields low carb pasta. The filet's cut with a fork and were perfectly rare.

We didn't lay out the big spread, in fact me and the gf made this out of curiosity and it was so good it ended up being dinner AND dessert! This is Alton Brown's recipe for Cheese Souffle which you butter the dish and coat the inside with grated parmesan and it makes this wonderful browned parmesan lining inside the dish that is just delicious! We served it with warmed cherries on top and I gotta tell you, IT ROCKS!

Boiled Shrimp with new potatoes, corn on the cobb, smoked sausage, onions, garlic heads (they get eaten), and large mushrooms....all boiled up in a pot seasoned with Zatarain's Shrimp and Crab Boil and lemon's from our tree! Got some cold Abita Strawberry Beer to drink and fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert.
