Frustration

Yesterday my new, long awaited MP Molds 413640 4 cavity HP mould turned up. I also sent my PayPal payment for my next MP Molds 411640 4 cavity HP lightweight mould. I didn't get much sleep last night. I will put it down to mould excitement, I am sure we all have it.

After tossing and turning, I gave up and got up at around 05.30 and went out and switched on my lead pot. I figured I could get a couple of hours casting in before the kids woke up. I came back inside and trawled around the interweb for about an hour. I went back out to the garage only to find I had not turned the pot on:groner:

It is about ready now so off I go with my new mould!!

make sure you get them molds nice and hot, cycle them through some heat runs [3-4] before trying to make a big run.
you'll get a brown patina in the mold [oxidization] after a bit, and they will drop boolits from then on if you don't try and clean it out.

Almost as bad as craving that cup-o-tea going into the kitchen and thinking 30 min later why it's taking so long for the kettle to boil!
