Well, I casted 'em on Saturday. Put a light coat of "Recluse's 45/45/10" mix, sized 'em, another coat Sat night and loaded them up.
Boolit - 38/357 140g SWC, LEE
Charge - 3.3 grains of 700-x

Wife was just a couple of shots shy of one large hole. This is a box of 50. The top target was the cast boolits. The others were plated, 158g SWC.

Don't have a photo of mine, but I put almost all of a 50 round box in a 3.5" group at 10 yards. Much better than I got with any other handloads or store bought.

Need to work on my lube as I think it was a bit heavy. Followed it with some plated, so can't speak to leading, but since accuracy didn't dramatically decline, I would be inclined to say "no".

More casting and more shooting!

Top target is mighty fine. Love it when I see big chunky holes.

And that was out of a .38? I've owned one of those molds for over thirty years and use it in 9mm, .38 and .357. Very good bullet.

Certaindeaf- S&W 66, 4"bbl.
Shiloh- yeah, that is a good one. I was not anticipating that much difference between the plated and cast. Any one of those would be either "dead or seriously demotivated bad guy". But still.
osteodoc08- she's already asking "Could you make those for my Kimber?"

And to think the barrel and chambers I slugged were for my gun. Gives one a lot more confidence in their hardware, that is for sure.
