The audete (sp) ladder wrk up was ment to find the dead nodes of a load combination of bullet case powder type. 1 round was loaded every step and shot from starting to maximum load looking for clusters of shots. Then test at the mid point of the clusters at velocity wanted. It was a way to find the dead node at the muzzle with a given load. There are alot of diffrent articles on this. Cryo was ment as a means of stress relief and harmonics. The browning boss and several others were ment to enable tuning harmonics to a load.
