Good. Shortages due to surges in private demand for shooting gear are very good for all of us, politically speaking. :-)

The new CCW card in Alaska is "NICS-Exempt," so I know the FBI didn't get to tally at least one from our local gun store last month...

Was in a shop in Billings yesterday, lot's of powder, they just got a shipment. I'll bet there was 30 lbs of 3031 on the shelf, and a variety of other powders. $30 a lb, ouch!!

All rifle powders have been 30 bucks a pound for a couple years here, well all rifle powders I have seen . 3031 isn't one of them. lol

$30.00 a pound in NH is right on par. When you find it.
There is a local Gun Shop that has a 4X8 plywood table top that the owner sells ammo from. There have been lots of ups and downs over the past couple of years regarding price and quantities. Right now, that table is groaning loudly. Lots of everything except rimfire. This is small wonder when the price is checked.

That # is actually a lot lower. Here is Iowa if you have a Permit to carry or to purchase, they don't run the NICS check. Some other states are the same way.

In NH the Feds run checks on long guns, State Police do handguns. I was in a Gun Shop during the 2008 panic. The owner was on the phone with whatever agency tabulates gun sales for the state. The end of each week for the first several months of 2008 was an increase in sales over the last. Whoever does this kept track of every sale for which a 4473 was filled out.

I just reread my last post in this thread and realized I might have given the wrong impression. The owner wasn't reporting in.
At the time, business had never been so good and he was wanting to find out if Nirvana had been extended one more week. The joy with which he registered the new number was palpable.

The same is true for Michigan.

Thank you Obummer for causing a renewed interest in firearms by the citizenry.
