ALL of the info and question is for .45 Colt. I left the cartridge in question out.[smilie=b: I bought one and have loaded it cast of COWW air cooled sized at .454” with 5.5 gn. 700X seated forward of the crimp grove (would not chamber sized .454” in my 3 screw BH seated to crimp grove) with a medium crimp, primed with S&B LP, dip lubed with White Label 45/45/10. This load chronoed 761fps. The BH had the cylinder reamed by Cylindersmith to .4525” this was done prior to the load listed above.
Since then I have acquired a Lyman 4500 and resized the rest of the remaining Keith boolits to .452” and lubed with WL Car Red over the dip lube.
I want to load this boolit to around 1000 fps+/-. I have Red Dot, Unique, 700X, HP38, IMR4227, H&Aliant2400, W296, SR4756, AL5, SR4759. The boolits weigh 268 grains in the finished form.
The closest weight I have found is in Lyman Cast Bullet #4 for the 452-270-SSA but these loads appear to be for Colt revolvers.
I appreciate any suggestions for getting me on track.
Thanks!

The load you're looking for is somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 grains of SR7625 sparked with a Federal #150 primer.
Yeah, I know it ain't one of the propellants you listed, but never-the-less that's the load you're lookin' for... and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

I cannot find much powder of any kind in these parts. I checked for SR7625 today no luck. I will try 2400 first then may go to 296.
Thanks for the reply.
