First off I would like to thank everyone who replyed to my post with their thoughts and ideas. That said my family digests and does well on what I feed them so the new one in the family is going to have to ajust. Going with Gears advice and get a throat reamer. Brownells has one for $40.00 bucks so Iam going to order one tonight. When I get it reamed out I will post the results. Once again I want to thank everyone for thier help.

Thanks for posting jeeper. Been following your other post and was wondering how you would solve this problem. I've talked to others that have the SR1911 and they say that boolit works just fine with a OAL of 1.250.

The reamer cuts fast! It is a little grabby in the stainless steel, but it cuts smoothly. Just a turn or two should do the job. Get the cutting oil too.

Now that you are going to have the reamer, rent it out to people here on this board and get your money back on it. I am sure there are plenty of people here that would do that.

jeeper, please keep us informed on this issue.

Gee, I must be the lucky (or the dumb) one! :o

I had no idea Ruger SR1911's were having this issue. I won't tell my pistol. Mine feeds the Lee's: RN, H&G68 clone & TC boolit's just fine. Funny, I'm usually the one scratching my head, wondering why something's happening. But, occasionally lady Luck grants this most unworthy one a small indulgence.

I do taper crimp to .470 and size boolits to .452
