I'm still trying to figure out what I have here. It obviously has a 5 in the center. It is not magnetic and sounds like lead (thud) when dropped. I melted part of one and the top of the melt was all coppery. I ended up quickly skimming the top a bunch of times till it disappeared. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j320/vrieze42/101_0604.jpg

Don't have a thermometer yet. So, don't know. My understanding from what I've read on this forum is that if it was zinc it would bounce.

They're zinc. They're exactly the same as some I had.

try cutting it with some dykes. Lead should cut easily, if it's zinc it will be very hard.

Yep, hard to cut. Will definitely cull them from the herd. I guess I can always sell them to the scrap yard.

So the next guy can get them? Throw them away.

I suspect the "5" is for 5 grams.

I didn't mean to sell them to the scrap yard as lead. I meant sell them AS Zinc.
