Hey everyone! Just needed some info on casting ar15 bullets. I bought the lee 55 grain bator mold today. As stated these will be for an ar15 only. These will be rounds that I will use do friends and family so crazy accuracy is not crucial. It was cheap and i thought I would give rifle casting a try. Here are some questions I have...
1. Do I need any sort of special lead for rifle bullets? Right now I have range recovered lead ingots.
2. I know I need gas checks. I have never used them before. Is there a specific kind I need? I powder coat my bullets for lube. Will this work as gas check or not?
3. Is there any other info I should have that you may think is useful?
