I like to press my wiping cloths...they're not rags. I don't do well with used underwear.... No, I'm kidding.

I use the steam iron as a regulated heat source for my lube sizer. The lube sizer is mounted on a 1/4" thick Aluminum plate that extends a bit in the rear about the width of the iron. Just set the iron on and try different heat settings. If it's too hot take the iron off. The operating temperature range for my particular lube does not seem that critical.

This iron was used for many years to wax skis and now it's "waxing" my bullets.

And I use it with a clean wet rag to steam out dents in wood I'm finishing.

I thought they were lube heaters...what a novel idea...use them to take wrinkles out of cloth...they just might work for that too

Use to pre-heat your bullet mould! Make grilled cheese sandwiches! Heat up a can of soup!
I got to get me an iron...didn't realize all the stuff you can do with it.

This picture reminds me of my service days, making coffee with iron upside down in draw of my desk. One of the mates did something to the iron to make it get much hotter.

Was it a 3 Stooges episode where the guy was frying an egg on an iron?

Been wanting to do that.
To put an aluminum sheet under my LAM would require removing the 3 bolts,
not sure I'm up to it...
