Bruce Drake is still trying to kill me. This is his latest attempt:

Hot jelly beans! I mean what kind of sick individual thought that up? (Actually they are rather nice).

In stark contrast to his blatant hostilities towards me look what the girls got:

Winchester brand no less and with their names.

A HUGE thanks to the Drakes.

Jeff, you better be close to a restroom if you are going to try that ghost pepper one!

I thought that NZ Customs would have blocked the importation of such dangerous substances. I betcha that Abby is a smart little cookie. She has an impish smile that threatens to break out into chuckles at any moment. If we could only freeze them and capture the moment but alas they grow up and away from us..

Do you need any sort of a biohazard permit to import those condiments into NZ?
Imagine the damage if the package broke open!

I am surprised you didn't have to call the fire department before you opened it.

Watch out for that Death Sauce. You can use that stuff for welding.

That is some mean hot sauce.... Be very careful, and keep some whipped cream or cold milk handy to put the fire out...lol... Dont use water, will only spread the fire.

Very nice to get care packages.... Unless they come from a marine... All of those need to go through an xray machine, followed by a bio hazard machine.... Dont blame the marine though, he means well, just a bit on the extreem side...lol

Who cares about the hot sauces. The girls are cuties in their pink muffs. I had to buy a pair for my Granddaughter to go with her pink boolits.

Hey! I sent you some nice things too ;) I'm glad to see the girls like them. My wife Marti made them a little more blingy for the girls. She is more artistic than I am. My idea of a fine art is a good meal followed by a good dose of hot sauce ;)

And next time I'll re-label the bottles into "mild" sauces...

The girls now refer to my hot sauce episodes as "dinner and a show". TRUE.

I would be more likely to bet they are to protect the innocence the morning AFTER the hot stuff is consumed!

Friend gave me some of this http://www.hotsauce.com/16-Million-PURE-Capsaicin-Crystals-2-0ml-p/hsc-16-million-crystals2.0.htm one tiny little crystal in a 2 gallon batch of sauce that was wimpy turned it into extreme heat. Gave that batch of sauce away to friends that claimed they could eat anything, nothing was to hot....

Jeff and Bruce, just had a thought. What if Jeff's local postal authorities had confiscated a few bottles?. Easiest way to find out would be the one with the burnt tounge. Can't spell worth a darn. Have fun. Frank

bruce drake

If they had confiscated them, They might have pronounced a new thermal heatwave in New Zealand has delayed their winter down there ;) I'm still waiting for a picture of Jeff after a spoonful of the AD...

hehehe! Now take those girls shooting before winter sets in down there! And yes, too much of those sauces will definitely burn an "eye" out.

My 9yo daughter has some pink ear muffs just like that, that go along with her little pink Cricket .22 rifle. She just saw your photo and wants to go dig out her beads and sparkles arts stuff and add some character to hers too.

Ever since WW2 the folks from N Z have always covered our back.

Now you want to incinerate them FROM THE INSIDE.:kidding:

That'll keep the rats out of the sewer, or anything else that decides they want to sneak in.

Drake, those are some nice muffs. I will have to show the little lady those and see if she can make a pair for my girly, girl.

I wonder if any of that stuff was on flight 370? More dangerous than lithium batteries!

bruce drake
03-31-2014, 10:40 PM
shipped AFTER the bird disappeared off the radar thank you very much :) And yes, they are dangerous when used unwisely...

What Jeff didn't mention was the fishing lures I sent him to help restock his tackle box after a rough summer of limited luck. I hope he doesn't plan on using the After Death sauce as a fish attractant...it might parboil his river fish while on the hook!!!

Hey Jeff!
What ever happened to those jellybeans? I recall you said you were taking them to work or the girls were taking them to the school...

And hey, is there a company making 303 Pygmy brass?

Old thread but, you know, I might think twice about trying anything out of a bottle that said DEATH in giant letters especially if it came from a foreign country

JeffinNZ

It does have a rather acquired taste and is rather hot.

Daughter no. 1 took the chilli jelly beans to school. One of those times where the teacher says, "and did you bring enough for everyone?" and she could say "yes". HAHA. She got a few laughs and interesting reactions.

Oh My! I would think that she's on the teacher's short list after that!
