Each to their own - This fellow obviously really really wanted an M1 but did not meet the licensing/collecting requirements here in Oz so knocked up these facsimiles. Each to their own.

Don't know what it is with 96/22 here in Aus but if you have ever owned one you wouldn't pay 1/3rd of what they ask for them.
Crappy trigger, reasonable accuracy and nothing at all special.
I bought one when I handed in my 10/22, a 10/22 they are not. Was glad to sell it when they started selling for silly money. Maybe I should have kept it as an investment, sold it for double what I had paid new but he's asking over 50% more again.

You don't see them much here either. I have in the last year or, so seen a couple of the 44's, sell for what I thought was stupid money, but not that stupid. lol
