I just bought a Lee 356 124 TL with the truncated cone shape.
the 6 banger is dropping at 0.362 based on my micrometer.

I size to .357, the boolits shoot great. the microband is reduced but still there.

Is the oversize a problem? Would it help to resize to 0.358?
How do I get a smaller boolit? I am using 50/50 scrap and WW's.

don't worry, be happy or send the mold back to Midway???
TIA

i would keep the mold ,as a matter of fact if it was me I would size some at 356 for 9mm and some at 358 and try them out of a 357 mag.

Keep the mold! Over sized can be sized down while under sized are very hard to bump up. I am assuming you are using these boolits for 9mmP? All of my nines like boolits sized at .357 Anything smaller causes pesky leading. As you posted they work great so I fail to spot the problem.[smilie=l: Ultimately your target will tell you what works.

If it works, don't try to FIX it. you have a mold that should be able to be used in 9mm,38,357 , just size for the caliber you intend to shoot, check a few out and be Happy !!! Jim

Is the mould closing tight? It may be accidently Beagling the boolit.

Really have a micro line of light on one cavity, but when I lightly squeeze, it vanishes. I think I have a speck of lead on the face of one of the halves, if so, I will clean it. I am at the point where if it ain't broke, and I ain't gonna fix it!
