As some here know, I own a pawn shop. I took in this beauty today. Over ten inches long and weighs 263 grams. I've been doing this for 20 years and this is the biggest charm I have ever seen.

That's for wearing on a necklace? I hate having anything hanging around my neck anyway, some thing that heavy would be unbearable.

It is nice looking, might be a better wall hanging than a piece of jewelry.

Major blingage. I know many an immigrant around here that would like that. Too Gawdy for me, but can appreciate how someone would like that.

A woman pawned it. Said she paid 30k to have it made. Said her husband is a rapper.

Did she pawn or sell? How much is it worth?

Inquiring minds (aka nosy people) need to know.

She was on the phone with him while we did the deal. Obviously his career is not paying the bills.

That photo really needs some easy-to-recognize item to give a sense of 'scale' to the charm. It's amazing!

Managing a trophy-caribou camp in the Arctic back around '91, we had a lady hunter who'd lost her (well-off) husband, and was hunting the world, or trying to.

She constantly wore a solid-gold pendant about four inches across, with jewels and other precious metals... as well as a pair of trophy-size wart-hog tusks which easily spanned eight inches the way they were mounted.

Incredible piece. Nice to be able to indulge one's desires, eh wot?

She pawned it. Spot price on 263 grams of ten karat is $4712 with gold $1336 an ounce.

Looks like a steal for you. Pretty nifty dodad lookin thing. I would figure those are real diamonds if he paid the price she said he did. Hope to see a good turn around!

I didnt even check the stones. Just figured they were fake. I'm sure she will be back once her income tax refund shows up.

Well, dog my cats!!!!!

I was thinking more in the line of a coin, or something of that magnitude. For that piece of jewelry to match the size of a 1911 is astonishing!

I'm inclined to agree that the stones are genuine diamonds. A lot of us will be curious to see what you find out.

Thanks for the 'scale' photo; it makes the thing even more impressive.

It was mentioned she was with a rapper, for some reason I doubt that brains fits in anywhere around this deal. lol

Whadda ya mean? Plenty of us here have worn similar 1911-A1's. :kidding:

Gee when I read charm in the title, I thought of something that went on a bracelet, not that monstrosity in the pictures. :holysheep

I see entirely too many of those 'charms', usually in conjunction with baggy pants hanging down around the *** and oversized baseball caps worn sideways.
