Visited a gun store last week, they had and obfm '92 in 25-20. Lever was sticky when closed, but is OK until just fully closed. Looks like a reblue and action was CCH look. Bore was worthless, large pits. Wood looked OK. They wanted $795 for it. Though about reboring to 32-20 ,but one of the pits was real deep and don't think a rebore would clean it up.
thought about getting it and trying to find a barrel, or reline it.
Is this too much for such a gun?
Thanks

From your description, sounds more like a wall hanger and that gun wouldn't bring that much where I live. Maybe $500-600 tops, if you found someone that really wanted it. Folks around here like them original. The barrel condition doesn't help any either. If you plan to put a new barrel on it just for your shooting enjoyment, then it's up to you to decide if it's worth it to you.

Thanks, but spent the funds today. Went into the LGS and there was a pre-crossbolt 357 mag Marlin in good shape, for a decent price:). Followed me home!!
