Ok guys here is the question, how much pressure do you think we put on the piston of the lube sizer. I am using jakes red lube with a heater and everything is working fine but, I have been pondering the idea of the air cylinder like the star has and since I do not have the funds for a star I had this idea. How about a shock of some type. I am thinking of a hood shock or more like a rear hatch shock on some of the mini vans. My idea is the shock will maintain the same pressure throughout until you either run out of lube or the travel has reached it's limits. I have found these available in 20, 30 60 and 100 lb strengths just not sure how much pressure we are putting on the piston. Any thought or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Nice idea, but how will you retrieve the piston once it is on the bottom of the sizer? Maybe you could attach it to a rod on the air cylinder and have a two way valve for the return stroke. Let us know how it works out. The toolman.
