I cast up 250 160 grain .358 boolits today using a MM 3 cavity mold. I have 5 molds from MM, they are all terrific, this is not to take anything away from Accurate, Miha, or NOE (I have several from all three) or others, but if you haven't tried designing one on the MM website I recommend it highly. I took a random pour from the middle of the session and took a pic here, the seam turned toward the iphone lens.
The alloy is 50/50 pure, wheel weights with some lino to sweeten it up. The mold was stuck in the Lee pot set on 7 to preheat then wiped off with a rag, only leather welding gloves were used to open the sprue and tap on the mold for boolit release. Rather enjoyable after a pretty good shooting session with a 44 3 screw BH this morning.
Think I'm going to go design a new one for that on MM site today.

Nice lookin Boolits! I bet those would sail right on thru a deer over a stiff charge of 2400 or H-110. Good job!

Great looking slug. I've got the NOE 180 wfn. It shoots great out of my marlin 1894c with 14.5 grains of lil gun.

I'm new to casting and ordered a mold from Mountain Molds for my 30-30WCF. Once it got hot enough it dropped perfect bullets. I'll order other molds from that guy soon.

They are a thing of beauty aren't they? I have two now and they both drop beautiful boolits.
