I have a 1 in 10 twist 20 Remington AAC. I'm looking to cast projectiles and fire these through a SDN6 supressor.Bullet strikes are my main concern.I've been casting for 300 Blackout without any issue's.I figured I would ask the masters here.

8 Grains of Lil Gun and lee 309 230 works for me in a Noveski 10" Blackout/suppressor or a FN PBR 308 with 20" barrel.. YMMV

I just started casting the Lee C309-200-R (as well as 2 other .308 bullets) and tried them in my 788 .308 bolt gun last week.

10 grains Uniqe averaged 1269 fps (SD 16.4)
6.0g Red Dot averaged 991 fps (SD 8.8)

The 10g Unique grouped a little better and I know I can work up the 6.0g Red Dot load a bit more and still stay subsonic.

These were only at 50 yards, but they were the very first .308 bullets I've cast so it was good to see that they were even on paper and not looking like something out of a blunderbuss.

The bullets were cast from a hodgepodge of reclaimed shot, wheel weights and traces of linotype in the wheelweight ingots. Out of the mould straight into a bucket of water.

Gaschecked with Hornady GC's and pan lubed with 60/40 Beeswax/Vaseline. The lube was probably too soft, but 1 pass with the boresnake and it was mirror clean.

Just for the heck of it, I loaded up some 155gr over 6gr of PB for my x39 carbine. They chrono 1100 and feel like a 9mm. I've been mindful to tilt the gun up first though.

7.2gr Titegroup with 311284GC and Lee 230 sized .309 with powdercoat - both loads under 1" @ 50yd in 308AAC 20" and custom 18" - both are subsonic loads.

I use 5744 in my subsonic 308 loads. But that is also with the jacketed 200gr Lapua sub sonic bullet.
