I installed some gas checks on some cast bullets. After looking them over I decided that some were put on crooked. Can I reuse those GCs if I remelt?

If applied with a sizer, you cant get them back on the shank. I have a bunch 'saved' for when I make a tool to re-expand the sides. I would anneal them also. I've read here that just putting them in the pot doesn't anneal them, temp is too low. Another project.

You'll have to open them back up. Use a round head screw, I think # 8 is the one.

Lyman makes a gas check seating tool to be used with a lube sizer. Works pretty good to keep them square.

ditto.

I cannot seat them reliably by hand. I always seat them with the seater tool.
