How do you add an avatar on this page? The only thing I saw were some funky fish.

I like your avatar scrouger but I think it might be a bit big, I created one smaller that you can link to if you want:

castboolits.gunloads.com/images/avatars/gallery/medal.jpg

If you go to your profile, and scroll down to Avatar gallery, you will see some new ones I have added, but you can select which Category you want to choose from. Animals, Comic, Fish (I will add more later on)

Click on 'Profile' near the top of the page. In addition to the avatars they have available here, you can use any photo from your photos in your computer (I know you already know this but someone else may learn something by reading it), or any photo that is posted on the internet. Whichever you choose to use, you must reduce it in size to 6 kb or less before it will work here. Some boards will not upload photos from your computer (this site will) and avatars on those boards must be posted somewhere else on the internet for them to link to. To get the URL for an internet posted photo, right click on the photo, left click on 'properties; select or highlight the URL, right click on it, left click on 'copy'; then paste the URL wherever you want it by left clicking to create a cursor, right clicking to open a drop box, and left clicking on 'paste'. then click on 'submit' or whatever the web page instructs you to do.

Got it. My photo program wouldn't shrink stuff enough, so i used a thumbnail program.

I followed Scrounger's directions and still can't get my avatar to work. Any suggestions?

I had some trouble at first, too, and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong---till I saw the sign that said the avatar was too big to upload. Check your photo or whatever, to make sure it is less than 6 kbs in size. To check the size, right click on it, left click on 'properties'; you can read the size now. You can also see the URL which you may need to post a picture in some applications. To 'capture' the URL, drag your cursor over it to highlight it, right click on it to open a drop box, left click on 'copy' in the drop box. Now you have the URL on your clipboard and you can 'paste' it wherever needed. If you're still having trouble with the Avatar, send it to me in an email and I will reduce it for you and extract the URL if you need it.
