Many of you are same as I am, don't like to size what fits but need to install GC's. So we use an over size die, mine are Lee lapped out.
I got to thinking which is serious business! My one .44 boolit is .431" out of the mold and I tried a .432" die. Then I made some tests with an accuracy loss with more fliers.
I have a .430" Lee that still sizes a boolit .431" so I switched back to it and accuracy came back. The difference is pretty great.
Here is what happens. The check is larger then the boolit so it sizes the brass first when seating. That changes case tension on the lead.
Anyway, use a die the same diameter of the boolit itself.
