I shoot the Lee 200 gr fp over 7.0 gr Titegroup in my Pietta '58 Remmie 44 with a conversion cylinder. Boolet shoots as well as I do with irons. Yesterday for some reason, I tried the same load in my Ruger Bisley and it shot great! It doesn't recoil as bad, or eat as much lead as the RCBS 270SAA that I have been shooting. Should be a great load for everything but deer. Have any of you used this boolet in a rifle? I have a Rossi Puma that I have had since the mid '90s that I really like ,but that boolet only has 1 small grease groove so I thought it might not have sufficient lube for a rifle bbl. I'm not getting any leading in the pistols. would be nice to have only 1 load for all my .45's, as I get older, I want to simplify. I use the Lyman Super Moly lube. Any Help would be appreciated. I shoot 45 200 gr rnfp through a Marlin 1894 over trailboss powder for cowboy action shooting. No Leading and accurate out to over fifty yards.

Works for me. The way I shoot 45 colt, 95+ % is at cans, rocks, etc. the only time I need a heavy boolet is for deer. It would simplify my loading if I had "deer boolets" and "everything else" boolets. Thanks and shoot straight, T-Bird

I use the 230 TC TL in my M1 Carbine conversion to 45 Win Mag with a 19 inch barrel. Lottsa tumble lube so there's no leading.

I use a 45 200gr boolit over lite loads in my rossi. They work great for low recoil target

I use a 45 200gr boolit over lite loads in my rossi. They work great for low recoil target Ditto, except I use normal power .45 Colt loads. I tumble lube, so grooves don't matter. No leading.

I used to tumble lube, still have some I think. I didn't like the tackiness on the boolet nose. I got some mica to dip them in, but it just seemed too messy. Did I do something wrong? It was sure easy! Shoot Straight, T-Bird

Having developed loads from CBA level to Ruger level for use in several 45 Colt rifles with cast bullets of 160 - 260 gr the Lee 452-200-RF quickly became my bullet of choice for both the rifles and also revolvers in 45 Colt.....my Contender barrel also. While I load them down in velocity for CBA shooting I mostly load them (cast of fairy soft alloys in the 8 - 12 BHN range, sized at .454 and lubed with BAC, NRA 50/50 or my own BP lube) over 7.3 gr of Bullseye. They run 950 fps +/- out of my 4 3/4" an 5 1/2" revolvers and 1150 - 1200 fps out of 20" and 24" rifles (Uberti M73s and M92s). That basically dupicates the original 44 WCF BP velocities. The measured (M43 Oehler and the Contender test barrel) is right at the SAAMI MAP of 14,000 psi.

Accuracy out of handgun and rifle is excellent. I have the rear sight elevation slide adjusted on my Uberti M73 Carbine for zeroeat 50, 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200 yards. I regularly shoot the Carbine to 200 yards and have killed many a "hostile" rock........

This all sounds good. I don't know why it's taken so long for me to try it in my Bisley. I chrono'ed this load out of my 8" Remmie and I'm getting 900'ish. Going to try it in my Rossi this weekend. It's supposed to be nice here in Ala for a change. Thank's and shoot straight, T-Bird

If you want the perfect non-grease "lube" try powder coating. Check out the stickies on here. Many on here are doing it with excellent success. I shoot EVERYTHING with PC and have no leading at all.

The 300g 45's thru my Rossi's are really fun, especially in COLOR!

Shot the boolet from my Rossi today at 50 yds over the same 7.0 gr Titegroup. Shot very well and recoil is zip! Had to raise my tang sight a bit. My Rossi is the one with the curved steel butplate and the front sight on the front bbl band, you can feel it if you are shooting fullish house loads. This load looks like my new " anything but hunting load" for all my 45 colt guns. I'm tickled! Shoot Straight, T-Bird
