Dry tumbled by hand for few minutes in plastic container, dumped boolits onto screen tray to sift out excess powder for reuse. Put screen tray into preheated toaster oven for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Coated and baked only once, passed hammer test, one on front right I beat pretty good, epoxy coating split, but did not flake off.

Edit: This was my first try at powder coating and I used the HF red to do so.

Looks like you didn't have any trouble with the powder coming off when you dumped them on the screen.\

Tell me more about the steps you use
thanks

I put about 50 boolits in a clean coffee can and sprayed well with carb cleaner to clean, sloshed around for a bit and dumped out on paper towels to dry, then proceeded from there as in OP.

After oven timed out, I immediately gently shook tray by hand for couple minutes to keep boolits separated and from sticking to wire screen. The screen mesh is small, about like window screen but more strongly made, wife donated it from her BB'Q set.

They look good to me. Should go well with your wife's 45. Now she'll have to go out to buy a pair of heels to match her new boolits!

LOL, so long as she doesn't want the 00 buck color coated for .410 in her judge too.

BTW, did you deduct those boolits were .452 just by looking? If so, you have a dang good eye, for they are 185 grain .452" from Saeco Mold.
