Please tell me the name of the guy or business that makes custom and odd lubrisizer die sizes. I know he is out there but I have forgotten his name.
Thanks
Joe

I think Buckshot does this as a service.

I think the guy you're talking about is Stillwell down in Texas.

Any good machinist can make them./beagle

I have never gotten one from Stillwell, but I have gotten one from Buckshot here on the forum, and he does great work. Inexpensive too.

I have had Stillwell open up several dies and Buckshot make several from scratch. Both do first class work.

What and what size are you looking for?

RCBS use to make anything you wanted. So there are weird size RCBS sizing dies out there. That would be the best way to go. Try e-bay.

When RCBS stopped doing this they encourgaged Buffalo Arms to take it up which they did. BUT Buffalo Arms just take an existing sizing die and machines it down. That works, sort of, but it isn't quite the same thing. If there isn't a regular sizing die that's close to what you want they just can not cut it down all that much. AND those cut down dies are, well, not the quality RCBS use to make.

Buffalo Arms does the best they can with what's available. I don't mean to slight them. BUT life was better when RCBS would make anything you needed.

I have a friend looking for a .260 sizer die. He has a .258 but he is thinking he needs a larger one for his 25-35.

Thanks guys.

I can highly recommend Buckshot's work.

Along with others he did me a .590" special for my Vickers Armstrong lubsizer which takes larger size die bodies than the Lyman/RCBS sizers.

Give him the sizes and he'll machine true and the final finish is first class.

I just received my second sizing die from Buckshot. He is the MAN :drinks:

Honing out .002" is easily doable at home also, I have honed out quite a few myself to get just what I wanted.
