Just think this is a nice little load 3.2 gr. of Red Dot.

I do about the same with the lee 105 swc. Gotta love 38 special i shoot that the most.

Sure cheaper than shooting a .22 anymore. I'm going to try the 105 SWC one of these days.

Last weekend I shot my first 105 SWC in my 9mm P226 and 92FS. Worked great.

+1 on the LEE 105.
Using it in the 38 special, where it is superb, and in my pt92 9mm, where I am not done fiddling with the load yet.

I load the 148 tl wc flush. My favorite load in my model 85 Taurus

I load the Lee 105 over 3.0 of Trailboss. My wife can fire 200 of those out of my Ruger GP100 3" very easily and she is recoil sensitive. Want to try in my 9's but where to crimp?

I have to seat them just slightly deeper than the crimp ring so they will feed in my 9mm.
Let your pistol tell you how deep to seat them. Load a dummy round and drop it into your barrel. Adjust the seating depth until it drops into your chamber properly without being forced.
Then check from your magazine to make sure it feeds properly.

Is it true that the cases with two ring around them were factory WC?

I do believe that the two cannelure casings were made for WC's. I have a bunch of them from my dad's shooting days. The boxes are so short that you can only get flush seated WC rounds in them.

I use the Lee 358-148-WC for my self-defense loads.

They drop 152 grains with my mystery alloy and 154 with 99.9% pure lead.

3.4gr of Tightgroup gives me 735fps out of my little 642. Or 799fps out of my 3" SP101.

For my mag load I use 5.5gr of Bullseye and get 1090fps out of the same SP101.

I've yet to shoot a water jug with the pure lead but I intend on doing so.

I just recently started shooting the Lee 148gr tumble lube wadcutter with 3.3gr Tightgroup and was very impressed with the amazing accuracy I am getting. Made me want the same slug in .44 and .45!

And while I prefer bigger calibers for defense I have no doubt that huge meplate would do just fine for self defense.

I love the Lee 148 wadcutter, conventional lube groove. In 357 brass I use either 3.5 of Red Dot or 3.5 of HP38. Whichever is on hand.

I have never known what purpose the "button" on some WCs serves. Anyone have any input?

That said I just bought a 105 SWC last week and cast a bunch but its been too crappy to shoot. Sure do want to load some .38s, though.

Improves the aerodynamics so the bullet supposedly resists tumbling for a longer distance. In my own testing this is hard to prove in side by side comparison.

I think its supposed to work like the dimples on a golf ball. Holds a bubble of air on the front so it slips through the air with less resistance, but still cuts a big nice round hole in the target like a flat wadcutter.

I didn't mention it but these are the TLWC. I'm going to test them some more but My first assessment is that they shoot a little better seated in the top groove. Although I like the way they look seated flush

I finally took the time to properly cast and load some of these boolits for my 357.
They do live up to their reputation. Excellent accuracy.
