1) I've got a bunch of Lyman 358477 my brother cast years ago . They're HP's , soft enough to scratch with a thumbnail . BTW lube is Lyman black . As long as they fit throats of my revolvers can I push them 1000fps from a 3" K frame S&W 357 Model 65 ?
2) A friend was nice enough to let me use his equipment to cast / size / lube a 1000 or so Lyman 358429 . Lube is Carnuba Red . I plan to use these for 38/44 loads & 357 loads w/ 2400 . Guns are a pre 23 S&W ODM & a Model 65 S&W . I'm thinking 12.5 for the 38/44 & 13.5 for 357 . Lyman # 2 alloy . Again they fit the throats fine . Am I correct that this bullet has to pushed pretty good for best accuracy ?
3) Was also able to cast up about a 1000 410459 for use in a S&W 58 41 mag . I'd like to be able to get an accurate load in the 1000 - 1200fps range . Same lube as the 358429 & sized for throats of the gun . Again does this bullet need to be pushed hard for best accuracy ?
Any advice , load suggestions are appreciated . Also where can I find load data for the 410459's ? Thanks , Andy Brunt

1.) I used that bullet and got very good accuracy around 850 FPS. I would try a few at 1000 FPS and watch for leading.
2 &3) Accuracy depends on many things and I can't say what you need . Around 1200 FPS is where everything needs to be optimum for accuracy. The 358429 will need a little more velocity over the 358477. I can not find a mold number 410429.

My mistake . Well that explains why I can't find data . I meant to say 410459 . Lyman's version of the H&G 258 that sent Ol' Elmer into orbit .
