Lyman #35 sight went for $204 on FleeBay

Boyohboy, someone sold a 35 for two bills. Saved all the auction pics. I dropped out after $87 with three days to go. For those with inquisitive minds, the Williams Foolproof sight for the Knight Muzzleloader MK-85 / BK-85 has a very long windage arm, longest I have ever seen. IF cobbling together an ersatz #35, one could machine a replacement bolt catch box(?) with the dovetail, threaded hole for the elevation screw, and the gib screw... or so it seems...

Wonder if the pivot screw at the rear of the bolt release box could be the location for the elevator screw of the sight?

Insane prices are the norm now on shooting related items..........Federal is offering 22's at $32. for 325 in a tuna can..........it isn't us hoarding in's manufacturers gouging.................

They are very desireable.
