No you have picked the correct day for us, the 26th, remembering we are a day ahead of you. So currently 0730 Sunday 26th here, 1430 on the 25th for you in Texas.

Thank you jumbeaux, to me its a day to reflect on the contribution of those who have suffered, worked hard, and died fighting for the freedoms we still have.

Happy Aussie Day to our best allies. Every person I have met from Australia in my travels all over the globe have been the people I most hang out with. Aussies seem to be like Americans were 100 Yrs ago

So this is somewhat like our July 4th/Independence day. Well then, raise a cold one for Australia and may we remain useful allies and forces for freedom and liberty in this world.

My wife and I had the opportunity to send our daughter to Australia when she was 15 yrs old for a 17 day trip. She visited many of the larger cities and spend time in areas of The Outback. She had a lovely time and had nothing but kind coments about the locals. Everyone she met treated her very well.

Have a great Australia Day!

In the words of "Kenny" from the movie of the same title:

"Australians let us all ring Joyce cos she is young and free".

I don't know how Aussie's feel about it but "Kenny" was a funny movie.

I am not one who wants to "go places and see things", but Australia has always interested me. Will never get there, but would like to.
