I couldn't pass up a good deal. Now I might be in trouble! I am now the proud new owner of some Lyman moulds for muzzle loaders.
These moulds were not well cared for. There is some rust on them, but I believe all of them are usable.

So what do you think I should do with these moulds to stay out of trouble?

It sure seems like the only ideas offered so far are to buy lotsa new muzzle loading rifles and leave them where Mrs Brass can find them. I suspect that won't end well! Any new and novel ideas?

Clean them up in Evaporust then cast about 200 each to keep for just in case someone shows up with a ML.
Then sell them so you are less tempted to purchase a ML to make better use of them.

I think the trouble is, Mr Magnet, is that you do not have a muzzle loader.... If you dont immediately get out and buy one, then you will be in trouble on this forum especially... I mean really, how many folks on here have 7 BP molds and don't have a muzzle loader????? Not to many... So, before you get in trouble with the Moderators here, and the general population of casters here, you might want to go check out some of the CVA and TC offerings...

I am doing my best to keep you outta trouble here BM, but i can only keep the dogs at bay for a little while longer... If you cant afford a muzzle loader now, just tell everybody here that you have a custom one on order.... That should keep ya outta trouble for at least a couple months....

I do have a muzzle loader.
It just isn't the right one.
By the way, your math needs a little work. Please check the other threads and recount.

I am not so good on remembering mould numbers, but none of those cast a 0.457 round ball, do they? I am looking to feed a Colt Walker replica.

These might be a great thing to offer up to the young shooters out there. I'm sure there are a few of them would like to try out a good old mold. Great way to get rid of them so Mrs. Magnet won't find out or old George makes of with them....he's a slick one tha guy! Just a thought......

I like that plan! I hide the evidence and if the evidence is found I might even get a pardon!
Besides, I am always in favor of supporting junior shooting programs!

Hmmm! This Evaporust seems to be working!

I have a mould which was so rusted I believed it was clearly good for nothing but trash can filler. A few hours in Evaporust and it looks almost good enough to cast a few!
Thank you Dbosman for educating me on rust removal!
