Tapatalk security warning?

I just got an email from another forum saying that Tapatalk has serious security problems, and that they don't recommend its use. Has anyone else got this or heard of it? I only use it on my I-phone for this and a couple other forums. Anyone?

This warning is nothing new. I wish I knew what the issues w/ it are. The current alternative are horrible. But the TapaTalk developers have not been doing anything for the end user lately. They don't seem to care what the issues are and release buggy version after buggy version. I'm on a really old build that is 100% stable on my phone. If you use more then one forum it's an app that is indispensable.

I am using it on this one, CMP forum, and Treasurenet. The forum that sent the warning was Military Surplus Collectors forum, and they weren't specific on the warning, other than something regarding logging in. Regarding a need for it, it makes viewing from a smart phone really really easy. I like it.

They're talking about the newest release. You must create a TapaTalk account to use the app. So don't upgrade if you haven't yet. There is no need to login to the app to then log into the forum you want to use.

I downloaded it but once I logged out it won't log me back in.

It's very simple for posting pictures with an iPad. Especially if you're not smart enough to use a Photo Bucket type system like me.

This site's own pic internal software system doesn't work pulling pics directly out of my iPad like it did with my deceased PC.
