This morning, after dropping one of my dogs at the vet for surgery on a cyst on her tail, so the cost of the surgery is 400.00, the day before I was quoted for another vet for 4600.00!!! just had to say, unreal.

SO , I decided to stop by Sportsman Warehouse in Reno, Nv. its not a bad store and I like it much better than Cabelas. I get there about 9:45 and there is a line of about 70 people. i think ,ugh, everyone wants that powder! Nope everyone there, everyone, was there to pick up 22lr Blazer 500rnd packs I guess. But the guys I know said its like that every Friday, I think it lasted less than 30 mins.

I really can't wait until this dies down. I'd love to see a surplus like there are with AR-15s right now. I can find ammo for every caliber except 22 at this point.

We win when people stop buying from the flippers. It is absolutely that simple.

Maybe you can find some .22 on a mailorder site. Look, you saved $4200.00 on your dog, so go buy something!!!!

People won't stop buying period. Basic economics 101. Supply and demand.

I actually do not shoot 22lr, I was there for rifle powder which had not been in stock for months, or I kept missing it.
I do not do this like thing and I felt fortunate everyone was not after the powder.

Mail order is all i think I will do, it is more affordable, just save or purchase a larger amount, save on some bulk and shipping

,,and yes the flippers are enforce here in Reno, just look at armslist.com someone is selling varget for 50 a lb when i bought 1lb yesterday for 27.00(which is still high)

well this vet that quoted is a douche, he quoted me 3200.00 for knee surgery one time and I went to the 'good' vet and had it done for 1200.00
when I was referred to them a second time, I considered 'good' vet but then again a cyst removal should not cost more than complete knee reconstructive surgery. I was wrong a cyst, all be one on her tail hard to remove, could never cost more than a knee right? I was wrong cyst removal 4600.00 lol, 'good' vet did two cysts for 600.

I haven't shot all that much 22lr in quite some time. I just bought me a new one and my only option was trading some other ammo with a friend...gone are the days of swinging in to the store for a few bricks to last you a trip or two with friends, just a'plinking. I haven't/won't be railed with high crazy high prices. Might pay a little extra, but the reselling prices by these guys is ridiculous.

My son had a quote of several thousand dollars for hernia surgery on his bull mastiff in Florida. I asked my vet and got price of $450, but vet suggested trying to push it back in first. It worked and the old dog is still going after 4 years. He has had to push it back in once since.
I stopped at lgs this week to try to get cfe 223 and SR 4759 powder, but no luck. I found cfe 223 in a lgs in Elk City, OK. but they are not open on Saturday and it's hard to get over there on weekdays. May have to shop internet and pay hazmat and shipping. Probably should get 8 lbs. 4759 while its still available.
