Chat problems

I suddenly can't get into chat on my iPad.

Anyone else having that issue?

There is not Java for iPads far as I can tell. It worked fine for the past few years on the iPad, not sure what changed.

I have not been able to get on chat for a long time. I up-dated java, which has caused my processor to run at max since, BUT I still can't get on chat.

I don't use chat much, I can't type fast enough to carry on a conversation. But I occasionally just sit and watch others.

This PC is an old basic Dell, I had it up-dated recently, I'd say since then I haven't been able to get on chat. The mother board is so cheap, he,(my great nephew), couldn't add a bigger/faster processor. The windows XP is going to die in April, so I plan on a new lap-top around then.

Snuffy, what browser are you using? Have you ever tried using firefox or google chrome? Those should still work even on an older computer.

I'm running fire fox and mozzila thunderbird for e-mail, time warner cable high speed internet, and a netgear router.

I just finished RE-downloading the JAVA with it's companion Mccafee virus protection. My main virus protection is trend titanium.

When I click on char room, all I get is a couple of banner adds, and a blank screen under "CHAT ROOM", then a couple more banner adds at the bottom.
