Has anyone had experience with this Lyman 130 gr. RN-PB in rifles of either 1-10 and 1-12 twists? The Lyman book shows a bottom end velocity for this plain base boolit of about 1700 FPS but I was thinking of using at a more leisurely velocity of about 1400 fps which I believe is more appropriate for a plain base. For the record the firearms are a 308 Win (1-10), a 30/30 (1-12), and a T/C Contender 10" barrel 32-20 (308 bore and 1-10).

You should not have any trouble with it in any of those barrels.

I have the Mihec 316410 that I am using for .303 British. In fact I was out shooting the HP version yesterday.

My No. 5 didn't like them very much and groups were pretty large but my sporterized (Bubba'd) No. 4 shoots them very well. Odd since chambers and bores are pretty much identical (from slugging). Biggest difference is barrel length.

Lee Enfields run 1:10" twist and alloy is air cooled range scrap.

I am loading over 20 grs. IMR4227 with COW/graphite filler. I haven't chrono'd them but they can't be real fast.

My mould is PB by the way though I do use filler.
