I slugged my bore and the size came out to .300 is this normal? The lands and grooves are strong. This is a 7mm muaser converted to nata 7.62 x 51
Thanks

Is this one of those 1912 Steyr 7mm rebarreled to 7.62 NATO? Sportsman's Guide was selling a bunch of them last year or so. If so, my copy is a shooter. It doesn't look like much thru a bore scope but shoots just fine. Mine has a .312 throat, .300x.309 bore, four grooves.

mine is a 1895 Chilean Mauser original 7mm retooled to NATO 7.62 X 51 NATO. Showing my ignorance I do not know how to determine odd or even grooves

2,4,6 even
3,5, odd
