I have a Lewis lead remover but I would need to clean a .50 caliber revolver.
Any ideas?
TIA

Cut a small disc the same size as the wire mesh out of old inner tube (hard to find these days, eh) or other like material. Put it on a .45 caliber tip and then put the wire mesh over that. Works for a friend of mine.

Good idea. Maybe just using 2 or 3 of the mesh disks would give more slots for lead to enter too.

hey Duke
you might try useing a 50 cal. blackpowder brush
and anouther thing is a 20 gauge shotgun brush after hunting season thay are usley on sale
i know it is hard on the 20 gauge but it cleans a 50 cal. b.p fast
and you might try a 45 blackpowder button jag for the lewis lead remover

Haven't used copper chore boy yet but 4 ought steel wool frayed out and wrapped around a 50 cal muzzleloader brush dipped in JB works wonders.

The copper chore boy is a cheap, quick and easy fix to leading. I've had a Lewis Lead Remover for years, but the chore boy works better.
