I received my new design Lee hp mould from Erik lasr week and tried my hand for a few to test.

Mould design: 125 grain round flat nose
Drop: 112 grain devastator style hollow point

Erik shipped quickly, gave me good tips on that mould, and a great response today after the firsy batch.

The attached pic has some of the blems in it. I picked them out for melt down.93304

I have that mold also. Really like it. The hotter I run mine, the better it likes it.

I have had two moulds hollowpointed and one bevel-base mould made into a square-base. All were done perfectly, with quick turnaround.

I have that mold also. Really like it. The hotter I run mine, the better it likes it.


I noticed that as well. Eric and I both thought some looked a little cool. He suggested running them to frost then dialing them back a little at a time. That seemed to work quite well. So well that I ran 400 of those bad boys today split between two sessions.

So far, I'm really pleased with the product.

Oh you have NO idea. The chance to snag the first 110 pounds of scrap lead was just a follow-up once I started reloading. My wife hates that I can accomplish such things when I put my mind to it.

Funny thing is that she asked me today how much more lead we have because she doesn't want us to run out now that I can make hollowpoints.

I love that mold. Drop it, powder coat, slap on a pop can gas check, and those get gobbled up! I need to send him a lee 312-155 2r to hollow point. I can cast faster with his molds than my factory non-hp molds. Cut sprue, tap the pins, close the mold..done, go again.
