First off, I'm not sure where this thread belongs, I'm confused about where general discussion stuff goes; if a mod wants to move it, that's fine.

I stopped at my local shop this morning. I wish I had more money...
I got a pound of 3031 and 1000 LR primers. I'm going to be playing with my 45-70 this afternoon.
The powder selection was great, I wish I would have had the cash for a pound of IMR 4198 as well.
I was a little disappointed with the prices -most powders at $29.99 / pound and primers $37.50 / 1K, but at least they had a lot in stock.

They also had 22 lr, $40/500 and the bucket of 1400 for $99.
That's still a little high for me, but better than I've seen most places.
I was told that because they have an attached gun range it's easier to get the 22 lr.
If you're in need, be sure you check the shops that also have a range.

I'm off to play with that 3031...

Did you happen to be in Spicer at Mel's? Sounds like their selection and pricing.

Good going. Glad to hear they had stock on both powder and primers. Guess that crunch is over.
Its really sad that the 22lr price is so high. Academy sports and wally world still has them from time to time and I believe the prices are lower in the $25 per brick. How much hording are people doing ?
Enjoy that shooting. 45-70's a real Blast !!
