Jeff and I have worked together going into 19yr. His oldest son since starting his own family barely talks to him. He's put his mother to rest and 2 week old twins in the last 12yr. This morning I learned his wife has fallen very ill over the holidays. The docs say ''if there's family I'd get them here or coming today''. So if y'all would put in a work for Tina Nelms.........

She is in an induced coma w/identified blood septis(sp) and pnuemonia, unable to breath on her own. The docs say that they will go 2 days and see if she can breath. Presumably they are looking for the source of the septis and antibiotics.
Thank you gentlemen.

Thank you again .

I learned early this morning that the docs believe H1N1 to be at the root of her condition. The FB post was full of optimistic hope,I pray he is right ,that ''she is strong and will recover''. I don't even know what to offer them, an open door and a hand up is all I have, maybe it's enough.

Folks underestimate the power of prayer, but it does work! We might not know or understand HIS plans but we have to trust HIM!! Prayers to Jeff, his wife and his family

Tina's lungs are clearing , she is breathing on her own and now fully awake and up right.
She is still carrying an infection that is pretty nasty, she is healing and will likely stay at least 3 possibly up to 7 days more barring any set backs.
Thank you folks I believe you all made a difference.

Anyone doubting the power of prayer had better go back and think again.
More going on here than we all realize.

I believe.

Its just that more often than not the answer is no. I give thanks that this time the answer is yes, that Jeff and his family will not have to endure this loss now.

Update
Tina is doing very well, she will move from the ICU today to a regular room and has Tuesday or Wednesday as a check out day.

I learned this morning that Tina has relapsed . She was checked back in to the local hospital Thursday morning and flown to Reno again this morning. She is back in the ICU . She is awake and alert this go around and not on assited breathing but on oxy.

It is said here that Grim takes our friends in 3s . 2 of my GF's friends at work have lost their fathers in recent weeks ( to old age the youngin' was 87) I hope that Tina isn't on that list .......

Looks like the lung damage was worse than they thought the 1st time around. Tina it looks like has lost about 25% of her lung function and will be living w/something akin to asthma and be at high risk to every pnuemonia bug that comes along probably for life ...

She will be headed home again in the morning.
