I spent most of the day yesterday casting a pile of 175 grain boolits out of a lee six cavity and sized them to .401 and lubed with carnuba red. I spent the remainer of the evening trying to come up with good load data. I have found a good bit of data using unique and 231. I would like to reduce the 4# pile of power pistol I have does anyone have a good load using this powder. I found some data on this load as well just wanted to ask the experts here.

Start at the book loads and work up to 6.8 gr or so depending on the gun. My S&W loves a little more the Kahr isn't happy over 6.4 gr.

4.5gr. of Power Pistol gives me 816 fps with the TL version of that boolit from my 4" XD. 6.2 will get you 1043. Total length is 1.128". Lymans 4th says 5.8 to 6.5 with their version of a 175 TC for 873 to 996 fps. loaded to 1.100".

Loaded 200 rds with that bullet today, with 4.4 grains of Titegroup for my M&P 40. It loves them, I have loaded them with W231 (I could check the load if interested), but I found the Titegroup to be much cleaner after firing. Good luck with the 40 cal.
