Looking for new .223

I was talking to someone on another board and they said last year's Cast Bullet Assn winner of the hunter class rifle was won with a .223. I was wondering if anyone might some of the particulars of that match? He did say the load used was 8 gr. of blue dot. I was wondering if anyone knows what rifle? What twist? What bullet was used?
I'm thinking of a new rifle. I'm Leaning towards a Ruger 77 because of the 1:9 twist. Someone else pointed out Sako, so that's under consideration as well.

The Savage rifles dominate in the CBA production matches.

If you go to the match results on the CBA page, they list essentially all the details, e.g. rifle, twist, alloy, etc.

Thanks guys, I tried a Remington 700 but it wouldn't shoot anything over 55 gr. I hated the Savage Acu-trigger too.

I looked on the CBA website but couldn't find those results. Thanks.

Savage did not "dominate." LBT and Leupold dominated if winning counts.
