A customer gave these to me yesterday. I'm guessing they're blanks, no idea what caliber. If you want them, you're free to come pick them up.

Looks like M-60 blanks

Yep. .308 (7.62mm) blanks in M113 links.

I would take them except I don't have an M60 to run them through and NY might consider that an ammunition feeding device of greater than 10-round capacity. ;-)

I found some of them this year as well near an old broke down cabin... They were interesting for a while....

I used some of them making cases for shot loads in 45 ACP.

There's a whole bunch of unformed 44 Auto Mag in it's raw state...

I'd be interested depending on where you are.

That's all I would do with them if I didn't have 3 1/2 buckets of them already.

And BBQJOE lives in AZ, and I thought I lived remote, he wins that award.

I'm pretty sure that blanks still count just like loaded ammo and can be shipped with just the ORM-D sticker. I think flammability of some printer toner has copier cartridges shipped on the same handling labels...

Anyway, I'd be interested in about 100 of them but I'm NOT in driving distance. Would you take a nickel apiece plus whatever the cheapest shipping is for 100?

I also make 45 ACP shot shells out of them.

They also can be donated to the local American Legion, VFW or other organizations who provide the firing squad at military funerals or other functions using M1903s. If they don't chamber as is in the '06 chambers (many times they do) then the decap rod can be removed from the '06 FL die and be used to size the bode so they will. Fed from the mag the '03 extractor picks them up and holds them back so the do fire. I've donated numerous M60 blanks for just such. Blanks for those organizations are many time hard to get or expensive.

If they have M1s (7.62) or M1As for such the banks are the same as for the original M14s and maybe use with or w/o the blank adaptor.

Joe is right there between Phoenix and Kingman on 93. Can't get more central than that. Pavement right up to the parking lot, don't need 4 wheel drive or nuthin. I've got to figure a better schedule so I'm not passing by in the middle of the night and try his BBQ.

Now I have a place about the same drive time, between Eureka and Red Bluff, you do need 4 wheel drive, And there's No BBQ Restaurant!

If you have the links for the 5.56, you will have a belt of SAW (squad automatic weapon) ammo; qualified 'Expert' on that one.

I think Joe needs to drive to Vegas soon. Would be happy to meet him there and buy any lousy imitation barbecue in that town that he thinks he could choke down...

Grew up close to there but I really don't know where the good barbecue is. Tommy's has moved around some and I don't know if they are even still around...

I always preferred the "60" over the SAW,never really liked it.

Yep. the whole 9mm family , 17,19,21,23 and Win mag. There are some concerns about brass quality for cut and rework to original cartridges.

Long ago, before I could afford new brass and when I had lots of time to spare, an ammo can of WCC-63 blanks got turned into several different caliber cases. They had to be sized, annealed and neck reamed, but they made good cases for .308 Win, 7.65x53, 7x57 and 7.7x58.

While they may not interest anyone here, 7.62 blanks in linked belts are in demand in some quarters and they never seem to have enough. The rounds have a good use though. Delink them and empty the case of powder. Then cut them off and they make pretty good .45acp shotshells if you have the shotshell forming and loading dies.

Why I think you live in Vernon I'll never know, but here's his link http://www.eatatjoesbarbecue.com and he's in Wikieup, AZ.

He looks more remote then me to be honest, only been in that part of the state once many moons ago. But your right I am remote and loving every minute of it.

I've been through Wikieup many times, but as of recently I haven't been through there in a couple of years. My son works for a company that owens the mini mart there I believe it's branded Shell. I think thay have like 70 mini marts around the state. As for Vernon, I think you might be thinking of Fred Kline AKA Deadwood, he died last year 2012, I shot with him at the cowboy shoots, over here on Pinedale road.

mrblue - Buy some M60 links online, along with some pulled .30 cal bullets, HiTech comes to mind, pick up a bunch of Berdan primed 7.62 x 51 range brass that is basically not reloadable, and make up a belt of inert, but good looking ammo. I have done it with .50 BMG too.

Great for blasting wasp nests in the summer to get rid of them. In harder times, I have salvaged the primers for reuse. If you have an M-60, a 100 round burst up a chimney is a great chimney cleaner./beagle
