It seems that my precision in reloading has spilled over into my coffee-making. I found this unused Uniflow, washed it, dried it, and loaded up some sugar. Hopefully she can appreciate it as much as I do.

She will be a noob so I will have to warn her of double charges.

Now off to find out how many grains of sugar are in a standard sugar packet to get it dialed in...

So I can put 61 grains of sugar in a 7 mag ? or is that 61 grains of Win 748 in my coffee ? :) :)

12-28-2013, 04:22 PM
Sugar may not meter consistently. You had better throw a few charges and weigh them.

Great idea! Almost makes me want to start using sugar in my coffee.

12-28-2013, 04:47 PM
That is perfect. You should dial it to something like 1/4 teaspoon so it can be used it for recipes. :P

Hilarious. Enjoy while you can, if you get married, she'll tend to be a bit crankier about things like that. Or she might like the dispenser and not be a problem. You just never know.

MAN !!!!!! you have got to love that, I can't believe some of you guys.
I grinned ear to ear, I wish I had an extra old powder measure I would set one up for Julie.
IF, I got company and some were Libtard gun haters I would have one mounted on a piece of wood and put it on the table when serving coffee.

I used to be a libtard gun hater. Then I tried shooting. Once the mystery and fear was removed, there was only love for the sport. I don't think it's fair to label people as such.

Onliest problem I see is that it is not COLOR COORDINATED -- you idiot!

Now, pick a color. NO, let HER pick the color and make everything match.

If it were me --- well, RCBS green is a nice color. Now, where to find a green coffee maker...

Now THIS is funny. Most people judge others daily. We do it without even thinking about it.

I think most libtards are ignorant, as in, they lack information. Your comment just confirmed it! :-)

Welcome to the real world!

I think you had better look for more of the powder droppers, she'll like it so much she'll want it set up like a spice rack.

My wife said I could do it when she was dead and gone. Unless Pottery Barn took up the idea and made it "Cute".

Funny.

Lol, thats ingenious. Wonder if uh lee dripomatic would drizzle nacho cheez, hmm.

12-29-2013, 07:41 AM
OMG...that is the bomb! I don't have an extra powder measure handy but I do have an extra MEC 600 layin around with 2 new bottles. I could fill one with powdered creamer and use one for sugar! If i were mechanically inclined I would jerry-rig some sort of progressive sugar/creamer for the holidays. Maybe a 3 or 4 banger?:coffeecom

And ya know? it actually looks darn good hangin there! Whoda thunk it.

Still grinnin ... Nicely done. My wife would probably conclude I finally lost it as she thinks I am almost nuts with my shooting/reloading habit as is.

IllinoisCoyoteHunter
12-29-2013, 11:18 AM
Got it dialed in at 45 grains per throw. It throws spot on every time.

She didn't kill me but her suspicions that I was messed up in the head were confirmed.

Luckily this is my house...not hers

IllinoisCoyoteHunter
12-29-2013, 11:23 AM
I really like the idea of the MEC doing both the cream and the sugar.

Let's see, MEC 600...check

MEC Universal charge bar...check

Powdered cream...check

Sugar...check

Thinking about purchasing a "progressive" sugar/flavored creamers dispensor.

Hornandy LNL reviews are pretty good, but have heard Dillons dies hold up better with Mocha Creamer and have a better warranty?

What do you guys think??

Especially with the micrometer adjustment lol……..

My wife laughed about it and said that's something I would do, lol……..

12-30-2013, 12:29 AM
Yeah those micrometer adjusters sure beat Alvarez Kelly's knobs!!!! LOL!

J/K Brian! Low blow....I know LOL!

Actually in all reality if you don't have Brian's knobs you don't know what you are missing. They make dialing in charges super easy! And his price is awesome too!

You gotta ask yourself though, if they lied to you about the guns and shooting, what else did they lie to you about?

Now add a RCBS balance beam scale to confirm the sugar drop weights.. You can tell her its to conform to MRS Omamas health laws :)

IllinoisCoyoteHunter
12-30-2013, 05:16 PM
Trust me, I already used the balance beam scale to dial it in at one sugar packet per throw.

Boy, this one has gone down the drain, in a HURY. It would not work at our house as shown, might get approval if located lower, about counter height. Wife is short and confined to a wheelchair, so I'd have to have it lower. Y'all take care, John.

Shoot, no body in our house uses sugar in their coffee--Heck I can see one of my "old" original SAECO measures on the cabinet in the kitchen.

06-08-2014, 02:21 AM
Saecos are way too good for dispensing sugar.

But David, think of the "cool" factor! They are beauty in design. I picked up another one recently and it was filthy and no hopper, but it is working now. Did not have to paint after careful cleaning.

Great idea. I bet a powder trickler would work great for salt and pepper.
