Anybody modify a Lee boolit mold

I ordered and received a 22 bator mold and am somewhat disappointed in the mold. I thought the mold would have a little more nose on the bullet.
My question is has anybody ever modified a mold with nothing more than a drill press?

This thread in the Molds...Maintenance and Design section discusses "HP'ing Your Own Mold without a Full Machine Shop (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?123677-HP-ing-Your-Own-Mold-without-a-Full-Machine-Shop)" and involves drill press operations.

The basic concepts are similar to what (I think) you want to do.
