These pictures are of the 429640 HP as modified before and after taking a white-tail deer at about 25 yards. Retained weight was 218 gr. Original weight was 267 gr. As you can see the original gas check shank was removed. The load was 17 gr. of WC820. The gun was a Classic 629 DX 5".

Very NICE, Shuz. I have an identical revolver, and am waiting for the Boomer Mikey Group Buy mould of this same bullet (without the HP of course)... Because of this, your results are exciting for me.

What alloy did you use?

How far did the deer go and how big was it?

Alloy was ww +1% tin, and the deer traveled about 50 yds after being shot. It was a fairly large doe and I estimate it weighed between 100 to 110 lbs. There is more info in the "Hunting with CB" room on this site.--Shuz

Thanks for posting your results. It is always nice to see real-world results of bullet performance and not just what we end up with shooting gelatin and newspapers.

MMMmmmm. That's exactly the alloy I use. I may have to send my mould from Boomer Mikey to Buckshot to get one of the holes made into a hollowpoint...

Thanks very much for the update.
