It has been raining here, 'seems like every off day I've had in a while. So today I was determined to cast something! There was a bold North wind and it was 27 degrees out there. (I cast out in my yard). At least I got a little casting done (13 pounds) and that scratched my itch for today.8-)

These are the MiHec 45-270-SAA and were poured as 90% pure, with 8%WW and 2% tin. They need to be soft, because my Peacemaker ain't gonna be pushin' em all that fast. :)

Nice boolits. I use the same mold for my 460 S&W mag. I cast in a little utility room next to my garage. I can open the window and door and get cross ventilation. I might just stay in the living room and load up ammo though. The weather could be better. It was 88 degrees and 10-20 mph santa ana winds. This wind is getting old. It dropped down to a bone chilling 36 degrees the other night, and it rained a little last week. It can't decide what it wants to do.

I know, I know...........first world problems compared to other parts of the country.

My room mate is mad that it is so warm for Christmas. She spent most of her life on the East coast, near the New York area. You guys can keep that cold weather and that wet, white stuff.

Very pretty boolits!!
No casting for me even if I had the itch. Currently 4˚, a gentle light snowfall, and windchill of -16˚
No standing on a frozen garage floor for me!!

Wonderful photos. Clear and sharp in the detail. You must have a nice camera.

Camera is old Sony Cybershot DSC-T50 7.2mp, but it has a "micro" setting that makes boolits look nice and clear. :-D

Colors..... I think I'm down to a 3/4# of HF red and 3 oz. of Lagoon Green. I'll have to order some after I coat another 3-4 thousand boolits. The problem with the colors is... I want em all!![smilie=1:

EDIT: the wind blew today and time ran short, and I want to load these babies. 'So much for PC..... they are going through the sizer tonight! It's CR for everybody!

Those sure do look a lot like what falls out of my MP 431-256. Good bullets from a great mold.
