Completed Concealed Carry Course Today

Moved out of the great state of Illinois (jab) to North Carolina in the past month. My wife and I completed our Concealed Carry course today as a Christmas gift to each other. It was awesome seeing her qualify with her Springfield 9mm. I am so happy that if the situation warrants, she can protect herself.

Now you can frame your FOID card along with your wives Illinois State Police recommended self defense tongue depressor.

You might want to wear your IGOLD stuff to your local range and gun club meetings to explain to others just what can happen if you are not constantly watching what your politicians are trying to do.

Congrats to both of you. Even though I was a long-time peace officer I learned quite a bit taking Texas's CHL course. I think every Texas gun owner should take the course just for the knowledge imparted there by experienced instructors, regardless of whether they intend to actually carry a weapon. I hope the N Carolina course was equally informative.

Congrats on passing your class, also keep in mind that in NC open carry is legal. I have my concealed carry permit but usually open carry.

Thanks everyone! Yep, the FOID card was a big topic in the classroom. I do feel like I can enjoy my hobby once more. I need to build a nice workbench for all my stuff before I can start casting again. Several classmates were interested in casting so I steered them to this website and answered all their questions.
