STOP! This edit follows several weeks of use of this machine in cleaning brass and my enthusiasm has waned a bit. It works well, but the old Thumlers' Tumbler still out performs it in my use.

Looks like the same as the one I bought from harbor freight:
http://www.harborfreight.com/25-liter-ultrasonic-cleaner-95563.html
which seems to be the same one Lyman is selling:

Must be popular. Wonder who makes it?

The Lyman and HF cleaners are the exact same unit. The only difference is you get a basket w/ the Lyman. And if you wanted to add one to your HF one it would come out to the same price as the Lyman.

That being said I have the Lyman and it works great. I preheat the water on the stove because it takes to long in the cleaner. Add some powdered citric acid, dawn and then run for a few cycles. Brass comes out really clean. I like using the basket, even though it takes longer, as it makes removing the brass from scalding water pain free.

I thought the instructions with the HF cleaner says only use cold water ? Did I miss something ? I have one and put it away because of the time and baby sitting. Built in heater was minimum at best. Corn cob in the tumbler less trouble and good results with de-primed brass.
If the USC works with Pre-heated hot water and don't self implode, I might have to break it out again.
What say you ?

I have the Hornady Lock N Load cleaner and it works great. I use it for cleaning gun parts as well as brass, it makes cleaning an AR BCG a quick job.
