Want to ask ??? I cast a cigar box full of 454424's today, miked at .455 from mold and 261grs. They show BHN 9 now.How much harder will they be in 30days? Not that much or more like 10-11. The lead I used was a little bit of everything laying around the work bench

How much and how fast they age harden is dependent on the Sb percentage in the alloy. The higher the Sb percentage the more and faster they will age harden. More important than how hard is how well they fit the firearm they will be fired from.

Not enough info to say.

Without knowing what the alloy is, at least approximately, it is very hard to say.

They may not age harden at all, they may go to 18. Time, and a hardness tester, will tell.

Let us know
